BASIC Defensive PISTOL
This is not an NRA Basic Pistol Class
Pre-requisite: None
NOTE: This is a two day class and can be done one on one at no additional charge. Also depending on your schedule you can break up classroom instruction and the range instruction into no less than a 2 week span.
This class is geared towards the individual who has a firearm, or is considering purchasing one, and has not had any classroom instruction, or formal training in properly operating and firing a weapon.
Basic Defensive Pistol, covers the fundamentals of using the pistol. The thrust of this course is for the shooter to become familiar with basic marksmanship, and manipulations.
While not necessarily a fighting class, the basic skill sets learned will build a foundation for the defensive use of the pistol.
Note: Out of sixteen of my students who have had to use a weapon to defend themselves, four of them had taken this class only.
Day 1:
Will start off with meeting the instructors and fellow students. Then a lecture on deadly force, the aftermath of a shooting, how to conduct yourself when the police arrive, ammunition selection, holster selection, gear, firearms safety, pistol manipulations, the fundamentals of shooting, and weapons presentation.
Day:2
Will start off with a safety and med brief, review of pistol manipulations, basic marksmanship and some defensive shooting skills.
Distances will be from 3,5,7,10 yards

2 days about 6-8 hrs a day

Defensive Pistol
This is not an NRA Sanctioned Class
This class is geared towards the individual who is carrying, or considering carrying a weapon on a regular basis and has not had any classroom instruction.
Defensive Pistol, teaches users how to be effective with a handgun, and prevail in a violent confrontation.
Pre-requisite: A basic pistol course certificate or an evaluation of your pistol skills if you feel you do not need a basic pistol course.
Fee $75.00 which will go towards the Basic Pistol or Defensive Pistol classDay 1:
Will start off with reacquainting yourself with or meeting instructors and students. Then we will have a safety and med brief, lecture, followed by several drills, then onto the range for shooting.
Day 2:
Will start off with safety brief and a short lecture followed by shooting on the range.
This course is designed to show you how to fight with a pistol and to develop the proper skill tactics and mindset.
With over 36 drills designed to run you and your gun.
Note: 12 out of 16 students who were involved in shootings had taken this class some more than once.
Some of the subjects covered:
Malfunctions clearence with two and left and right hands only and reloading, off hand draw, use of cover and concealment, empty hand offense, and alot more.
Qualification Test: 0-5ft ,3,5,7,10,15yds
Fee: $280.00 per person or $500.00 per couple: This includes your range fee for boths days

What to bring:
1200 rounds of ammunition

Bring both a concealment vest or jacket and a long shirt, a ball type hat with a brim, eye and ear protection.

Essential Skills and Drills
Coming Summer or 2010Sudden Violence
This is not your run of the mill, karate siminar.
The sudden violence course is a two day moderate paced, demanding package designed to quickly develop a students functional unarmed fighting skills.
Nothing I teach you will be competition legal because your life is not a game.
Striking, weapons of opportunity, the proper use of pepper spray, grabbing attacks, counting chokes, use of weapons, countering weapon attacks.
Fee: $200.00 per person
Certificate Upon Compeletion
Class size min 2 max 8
Total time of instruction 8 hours, 4 hours each day
What to bring:
An open mind, groin cup, eye protection, wear comfortable clothing, your weapon with holster and no ammo in class.
Clubs, Baseball bats, knives, pistols, pads, mitts etc. will be supplied.Defensive Shotgun

Basic Tactical Rifle
Employed properly, the tactical rifle is one of the most versatile and powerful weapons available to any citizen, law enforcement officer or military operator. Unfortunately, most tactical rifle courses fail to take advantage of this weapon's full potential. This explosive course changes all that.
Subjects Covered:
Firearms safety, 25 meter BZO, fundamental skills of combat marksmanship, reloading, immediate action drills, shooting on the move, weapon transitions and pivot shooting, engage multiple threats, and even shoot around and over cover without exposing yourself and much much more.
Fee: $370.00 per person
This will include range fee and lunch for both days
Certificate Upon Compeletion
Class size 6 to 12 students
Total Time of Instruction 16 to 20 hrs over a two day period
What to bring:
AR or AK or other type assault rifle, alignment tool if necessary
All weapons must have a sling!
1,000 rds of rifle ammo 300rds of pistol ammo
Min 5 magazines rifle and 3 for pistol
Magazines pouches or chest rigs, hearing and eye protection, hat with a brim, knee pads optional, a
drop leg tactical holster for your pistol is better than a regular holster but not required.
Foreign Weapons
NOTE: This class is full until April 2010
This class is geared towards people who's work takes them to less than developed countries in the world, and who will encounter weapons used by forces outside that of the United States.

Firearms Safety, Disassembly and Assembly, Loading and Unloading, Malfunctions, Rapid Magazine Changes, Firing Discipline, Shooting from and firing into vehicles.

Officer Gunfight Survival
Be Prepared Even If Your Department Is Not
This class will take the individual officer way pass the Georgia, semi-double action pistol course.
You will learn to fight with your pistol not just point and pull the trigger.
